Prince Edward County
As part of Prince Edward County’s tourism strategy, 1dea was approached by The County to plan, develop and design a 16-page lure travel guide to appeal to travellers visiting from nearby urban centres such as Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. This guide was inserted into summer edition of the LCBO magazine, in addition to several other defined locations throughout Ontario. The layout was designed in a way to provide the brand essence of The County’s “Taste. Tour. Explore. Unwind” brand strategy, while providing trip-planning links and resources on where to obtain visitor information. It’s meant to capture the character and authenticity of the region and expands upon our original development of the Prince Edward County brand.
In the fall of 2015, The County received a National award being recognized as the best single publication at the 47th annual conference for the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC). The publication competed against 117 publication submissions from other cities and towns across Canada.
