Ontario Creates is a provincial government agency fueling economic growth, investment and collaboration in creative industries such as music, books, magazines, film, television and digital media, both locally and globally.
Ontario Creates approached us to design a Welcome Package in both French and English, with the goal to effectively market the province and provide crucial information to domestic and foreign producers, production companies and studios interested in doing business within Ontario.
The document needed to serve as a comprehensive guide, outlining the services of the Film Commission and highlighting the production advantages that Ontario offers. The success of the Welcome Package was measured against several criteria. It needed to serve as both a pitch package and a resource guide, reflecting the brand’s visual identity.
It also had to fully comply with provincial accessibility standards, including downloadable PDFs that were printable and adhered to web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0, Level AA).
We also created 2022 Production Statistics. This included one master infographic that then adapted to resize each micro-tile for all the social media platforms. The total number of social versions resulted in 80 design files.
Each micro-tile design highlighted a different statistic while integrating the brand look and feel. The designs needed to be AODA compliant as well as engaging and easy to read. We also integrated icon use to help showcase the statistics.
